AWESOME BOAT - WIDER 42 EXPANDING MOTOR BOAT

The open day cruiser is not so much a new model of boat, but a completely new way of thinking about spending time afloat. The big draw is, of course, the fact that the sides of the boat open up in just 12 seconds to double the useable surface area of the boat.

Taking the idea of a "playground at sea" a step further, the builders of the boat have also made all the deck seating inflatable, so it can be thrown overboard for use as sunloungers.
The stepped hull and lightweight construction mean the Wider 42, powered by twin 480hp Cummins MerCruiser diesels, should hit a top speed of 53 knots.

AWESOME HOUSE - CONTEMPORARY DUTCH MOUNTAIN HOME (12 pictures)

By Denieuwegeneratie

The team at Denieuwegeneratie created an incredible hillside residence fittingly called the Dutch Mountain project.
The project was just completed this past November of 2011 by the young Amsterdam based studio, and will blow your mind inside out. To help blend the home with the natural, hilly terrain the design team built the contemporary residence on an artificial hill.

Completely surround by woods, this beautiful abode's best kept secret is on the interior design elements. The team utilized several repurposed items such as a car for shelving, and actual skateboard decks for stairs within the home. The design teams describes the experience in the residence as such. "Either you are in a room, with a cave-like atmosphere, daylight coming to you through deep cuts in the mountain - or you are in the large open space in front of the stacked rooms."

AWESOME CAR - FERRARI F12 BERLINETTA GALLOPS TO GENEVA (9 pictures)

Fastest Ferrari Ever...

While the F12 Berlinetta may have a name seemingly designed to drive English teachers (and website editors) insane, the 740-horsepower V12 is just plain demenziale. Making 509 lb-ft of torque, it's enough to propel the 3,362-pound car from 0-62 mph in just 3.1 seconds and 0-104 mph in 8.5 seconds, according to Ferrari.

Of course, the true measure of any Prancing Horse is the lap around Fiorano, which the Maranello automaker says can be completed in just 1:23. (The previous record-holder was the 599 GTO at 1:24, while the Enzo clocked in at a leisurely 1:25.)

Ferrari says the new F12 Berlinetta has a lower and more rearward center of gravity thanks to a redesigned suspension and gearbox, with 54 percent of the weight resting over the rear tires. A 0.299 Cd and 76 percent more downforce allows a top speed of over 211 mph.

The F12 Berlinetta will be shown for the first time at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.

AWESOME CREATIVE.. TRULY UNIQUE STARBUCKS IN JAPAN (8 pictures)

While most Starbucks coffee shops follow a template for their architectural style, this Starbucks in Japan features a custom-made design. Architects at Kengo Kuma and Associates set out to form a unique looking cafe for the well-known brand, while maintaining its identity and complementing its surroundings.

Located in Fukuoko Prefecture, on the path to one of the most major Shinto shrines in the nation, Dazaifu Tenmagu, the architects sought to combine traditional and contemporary motifs to refrain from disturbing the aesthetic flow of the environment. As such, the shop provides a very natural setting.

Using the extended limbs of trees and ceremonial lumber structures as inspiration, this branch of the chain coffee shop utilizes wood and highlights 6cm stretched square blocks, appearing like bundles of interwoven sticks.

The intertwining planks reflect a striking resemblance to a nest, adding to the eco-friendly aura. In addition to the 2,000+ wooden batons that line the establishment's interiors walls and ceiling, the organic ambience is heightened with a strip of planted reeds at the entrance.

AWESOME SHOW.. FIRST WHEELCHAIR BEAUTY PAGEANT (9 pictures)

Hungary hosted what the organizers claimed to be Europe's first ever beauty pageant - Miss Colours Hungary - for the differently-abled contestants in Budapest Saturday.
The pageant was held almost four decades after the first Ms. Wheelchair America pageant was held (in 1973). Katalin Eszter Varga (26) won the contest, followed by Edina Melnyik in the second place and Marietta Laura Molnar in the third place. Varga, a saleswoman, was crowned by fashion model Szilvia Magony for winning the Miss Colours Hungary title.
Following this win, Varga will raise awareness of the wheelchair's successes, achievements and the importance of accessibility, as an ambassador for a year.

"The beauty contest is to show that the wheelchair is especially important for women of beauty and femininity, and the wheelchair ladies are beautiful, attractive, feminine, so there is no reason to consider them differently than healthy counterparts," the organizers said.
The pageant's jury took into account the contestants' personality, their overall look, vocation and communication skills before deciding on the winners.
